Freshman Success
Freshman Success Freshman Success is a program that serves as both an academic and a social support for incoming 9th grade students. Freshmen get the opportunity to reconnect with the 11th and 12th graders they met at Bronco Camp, as well as to connect with another adult on campus (their Freshman Success advisor) who is not necessarily one of their academic teachers.
Freshman Success groups meet regularly for the first six weeks of the fall semester during Thursday's tutorial period. Once six-week grades are reported, Freshmen with at GPA of 3.0 and higher are released from meetings. Students who earned below a 3.0 in their first six weeks are required to attend mandatory tutorial every Thursday and to have a tutorial sheet signed by their teacher. This sheet will be shown regularly to the student's Freshman Success advisor who monitors the student's academic progress.
